Rocks

Geologically speaking, a rock is a solid material under the surface of the Earth. Rocks consist of fragments or minerals. Geologically speaking, deposits that have not hardened yet are also considered rocks. A loose layer of sand or clay package is therefore also a rock. Igneous rocks are formed by the solidification of magma or lava. Sedimentary rocks are formed by sedimentation or deposition of materials after erosion. Metamorphic rocks are formed by exposing rocks to high temperature or pressure deep in the Earth's crust.

  • Rough Rocks

We have many types of natural rough rocks available in various sizes. Very suitable for collectors or for educational purposes such as schools. We strive to offer as many sedimentary, volcanic, metamorphic and igneous rocks as possible.

  • Individual Rocks

In this category we offer unique individual pieces of rocks. When ordering you will receive the exact specimen that is in the photo.

  • Loose material and...

There are many types of loose sediments on Earth. Think of sand, silt, clay, peat or volcanic ash. We try to offer as many types as possible from as many different geological periods as possible.

  • Rock Sets

Our various types of rock sets are a good start to learning about the different types of rocks that occur on Earth. Ideal for both the collector and for use in schools. From 10 sets, we can also supply custom sets. You can contact us for this.

  • Geological Structures

Geologists use various structures in rocks to reconstruct the geological history. Structures such as certain layering, wave ripples or the position of fossils can provide information about the deposition environment. Some structures can also provide information about whether an entire rock layer is in its original position, or whether it has ended up upside down due to folding.

  • Ore and Metals

Ores are used to extract raw materials from.  For example, metals such as iron, copper, silver, gold, cobalt and various rare earth metals. Here we offer many types of ores so that everyone can see where these important materials come from.
